Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced PowerCurve Originations Consultant / Senior Developer with strong expertise in Experian PowerCurve Originations to design, develop, and support automated credit decisioning solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building decision strategies, integrating multiple data sources, and optimizing credit origination workflows while ensuring regulatory compliance and high system performance.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain decision strategies using Experian PowerCurve Originations.
Configure and implement business rules, scorecards, and decision flows to automate credit origination processes.
Develop and execute test cases using PowerCurve Design Studio.
Identify, document, and track application defects, bugs, and performance issues.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance solution quality.
Configure application workflows including data capture, validation, and decisioning processes.
Integrate internal and external data sources, including credit bureau data and enterprise systems.
Ensure APIs and system integrations meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
Analyze test outcomes, monitor production performance, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Track and optimize key business metrics such as approval rates, decline rates, customer acquisition, and portfolio performance.
Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance on solution design and best practices.
Ensure compliance with lending regulations, data privacy standards, and enterprise governance policies.
Support production deployments, issue resolution, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Experian PowerCurve Originations.
Expertise in PowerCurve Design Studio, decision strategy development, and business rule implementation.
Experience configuring decision engines, workflows, data mapping, and scorecards.
Knowledge of API integration, REST services, and enterprise application integration.
Experience with SQL and relational databases for data analysis and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with testing methodologies, defect management, and performance optimization.
Experience with source control, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.
Domain Expertise
Strong understanding of credit origination and credit risk management.
Experience with credit scoring models and automated lending decision processes.
Knowledge of consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements.
Understanding of customer onboarding and credit application workflows.
Analytical & Business Skills
Ability to analyze large datasets and translate business requirements into effective decision strategies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to optimize decision strategies to improve customer acquisition while controlling credit risk.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with large banking or financial services organizations.
Experience supporting Barclays or similar Tier-1 financial institutions.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with cloud-based decisioning platforms is a plus.
Desired Experience
8+ years of software development and decisioning platform experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Experian PowerCurve Originations.
Proven experience implementing enterprise-scale credit origination and decisioning solutions in the banking or financial services domain.
